Hi everyone! I am a Graduate student at Drew University pursuing my Masters in Finance with a concentration in Financial Engineering. During my undergraduate studies I was also in a number of clubs and activities including the Civic Scholar Program, Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics Honor Society), and selected to participate in the Semester on Wall Street Program. The Civic Scholar Program has kept me engaged in volunteer work throughout my time at Drew. Before attending college, I had been a Girl Scout for 12 years and received my Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award, so staying active in community service throughout college was very important to me.

I created Healthy Planet, Healthy Humans in September of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time many people used parks and beaches to get outside and stay active which resulted in a lot of pollution. This trash and litter usually ends up in our streams, oceans, or gets consumed by animals. I decided to focus this project around cleaning up these areas in hopes to help clean and save the environment and animals from further harm due to pollution. I am so excited that the success of this project during the first year led to the continuation of HPHH in 2022 and I look forward to seeing the ongoing impacts of this project in the future!

Hi! I’m a Senior Civic Scholar pursuing an American Chemical Society accredited Chemistry Degree at Drew University. At Drew, I have been the president of DEAL, Drew’s Environmental Action League, for the last three years, and I am a Baldwin honors scholar writing an honors thesis. As a Civic Scholar, I participate in a lot of community service and enjoy giving back where I can.

I am very excited to be joining Healthy Planet, Healthy Humans. In my own experience, I have been involved in a lot of environmental research, including oceanographic studies, atmospheric studies, and modeling. Community service is important to me, and I am excited to be able to run a project that will promote a cleaner environment and healthier habits.

In the future I plan to continue working with the environment. After Drew, I will be taking a gap year before pursing Graduate School for Environmental Chemistry. I hope to continue in community service and participate in environmental action like this project provides.

Thank you to Drew University Civic Scholars, all of the community partners, and of course all of the volunteers for your dedicated work to make this project successful.
